Miss United States Ag

Miss United States Agriculture

The Miss United States Agriculture program follows a very structure competition model that allows women from any community and agriculture background to participate. Candidates are interviewed and introduced in a formal setting which prepares them for regular presentations in public settings. Contestants are then rated in presentation wearing both AG wear as well as formal wear. In terms of competency abilities contestants will be challenged both in preparation as well as on-the-spot scenarios. They are allowed a prepared speech, and then each is also rated on their performance in an impromptu question stage, without any idea what the question will be ahead of time. Being a pageant, contestants will compete on their photogenic ability as well, but they must also show their ability to communicate expertly with a required essay as well. The results produce young women who are both capable and function as great advocates for agriculture and farming. And that’s a win-win for all involved supporting the Miss United States Agriculture program.
